CSPECS has entered the industry as an SaaS/PaaS provider offering web based applications to the DSB Community. (See attached Diagram)
Our plan is to develop a holistic approach to the issues that plague the DSB Community. There is no single source company that identifies the needs of the entire DSB Community and then provides “actionable” solutions.
Solutions for the DSB Process require:
1. Data formatting
2. Data continuity
3. Data availability
4. Data transfer/integration*
*Within that process there is an overlap of required information.
Each segment within the DSB Community has specific issues that if resolved can create a more efficient and cost effective environment for the entire DSB Process. The result is increased profitability for each segment.
Within the DSB Process we have identified specific areas of concentration to apply applications for use:
Design, Specify Channel - This includes the Design Professionals and Specifiers. There is an output of data necessary from this channel that is used in the procurement of products. The programs used for the data output are antiquated, inefficient and do not provide continuity of information for the required DSB segments involved.
Build Channel - This includes the General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Distributors and Product Manufacturers. This DSB segment is responsible for interpretation of the data from the specification channel and implementation of that required data to complete a project. Within this DSB segment there is additional data input and data integration that in required. To this point, there is no single source data application that provides an integrated solution for this segment. The most important aspect of the data manipulation is continuity and consistency.
Applications for Data
Using a holistic approach we looked at the flow of data for the entire DSB Process and developed a series of applications that can be used to streamline and provide solutions to the issues for all segments of the DSB Process.
First, we looked at the flow of data in the Design, Specify Channel. There is required, appropriate and acceptable information necessary to complete a project. It is critical during the Design, Specify Channel to create data output that provides consistent formatting and consistent documentation that can be used for the rest of the DSB Process. We developed applications that resolve these issues and provide the solutions required by the DSB Process. The applications provide usable data output for use by the entire DSB Process.
Once the applications for the data output program are in place the balance of the information for DSB process can flow more effectively.
Second, within the Build Channel applications need to be developed that allow for the manipulation of the data output from the Design, Specify Channel as required by the DSB Process. The Build Channel includes variables that must interpret the data, transfer the data and include additional data. As such, there are problem areas that must be addressed for the DSB Process. Applications will be developed and made available that will address each variable within the Build segment and provide the consistency and continuity of information flow necessary to complete the project.
